Delete your account

You can permanently delete your Ima Quran account and associated data at any time. This page explains how, what is removed, and what may be retained.

How to request deletion

You have two simple options. Either one will fully remove your account.

    In the app

    Open Ima Quran, go to Settings → Account → Delete account, and confirm. You’ll be asked to re-authenticate for security.

    Or by email

    If you can’t access the app, email support@imaquran.app from the address linked to your account, with the subject line “Delete my account.”

    Confirmation

    We’ll confirm by email once your request has been received and again once your account has been fully deleted.

What is deleted

Once your deletion request is processed, we permanently remove:

  • Your account profile, including name and email address.
  • Authentication details linked to your account.
  • Your memorization and learning progress, including completed ayat, exercise responses, recall history, and streak data.
  • Personal notes and preferences stored under your account.

What may be retained

For legal, security, and operational reasons, we may retain a limited set of information for a reasonable period after deletion. This may include:

  • Records required to comply with tax, accounting, or other legal obligations (for example, purchase or refund records).
  • Information needed to prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
  • Aggregated, de-identified data that cannot reasonably be linked back to you (for example, anonymized usage statistics).
  • Support correspondence, kept for a limited time so we can respond to follow-up questions.

We do not keep these records longer than necessary, and we do not use them to re-create or reactivate your account.

How long it takes

Most deletion requests are completed within 30 days. Some backups may take additional time to expire on their normal cycle, after which the data is no longer recoverable.

App Store purchases

Deletion of your Ima Quran account does not cancel an active App Store or Google Play subscription. Please manage subscriptions from your store account. If you need help, contact us at support@imaquran.app.
